Our 4-Step Process

Here is a brief description of the process we use while cleaning your carpets, and why each step is necessary.

• Dry Vacuuming — Fine soils accumulate in carpets consisting of abrasive sand and dry particulate matter. These soils are insoluble in water, which is why dry vacuuming with a high-quality commercial vacuum is so important. Many companies skip this crucial step to save time; dry soils physically scratch and cut carpet fibers, resulting in a dull appearance and premature traffic-pattern wear.
• Pre-Treating — Dry vacuuming alone will not remove all the soils in your carpets. The remaining soils are composed of starches, oils and grease. This type of soil is naturally acidic and requires a professional alkaline-based detergent to neutralize it. We pre-treat your carpet to release the soil from the fibers.
• Specific Stain Treatment — Some spots or stains require a specific cleaner to neutralize and release them from the carpet fibers. We pre-treat stubborn stains or spots individually.
• Steam Cleaning and Extraction — This is the process you are most familiar with. Steam extraction completely removes the pre-treatment solutions and all remaining soils, leaving the carpet fibers clean, fresh and soil-free. This critical step is recommended by all major carpet companies.
